Taking a brief pause here (p. 48; the start of Ch. 6) to reread the first five chapters of the book to jot down notes.
I’m quite interested to see how the contrast between Amir and Hassan plays out. During the reread, I’ll likely spend some time research the historical setting, as well as Islam.
The narrator keeps teasing us about the winter of 1973. I believe Ch. 6 details that, so I’m excited to continue.
