Stoney Setzer’s Reviews > Tales from the Tomb: Stories inspired by the classic movie monster, The Mummy > Status Update

Rachel Dib's story "The Return of the Favorit Servant" is a clever rendition of a mummy story from a cat's point of view. Relatively short, but still the perfect length to get the most out of its theme.

Just finished Michelle Levigne's "Curses and Cures." Always interesting to see how creative and skillful she is in adapting her recurring characters to a variety of different themes.

"Killing Fear" by Etta-Tamara Wilson...wow! Very scary, very gripping.

Just finished "The Wrapping" by Rosemarie DiCristo and Pam Halter. Clever and creative, and fun for anyone who can't stand Walmart (like me!).

Just finished reading my own entry into this anthology, "The Seekers." Being the author, I recuse myself from commenting on it beyond this progress update.

"Chasing Tails" by Frank DaCosta...definitely a unique take on the mummy theme!

Just read the first short story in the collection, "The Fire Within" by Jim Doran...talk about starting things off with a bang! This story was some serious edge of my seat, white knuckles stuff!
