I actually can’t read this I feel sick

Dara entirely lacks the ability to think for himself and i pity him

“Ali wanted to throw himself at her feet. To beg her to save him and beg for forgiveness. To tell her he loved her and tell her to run back to Cairo and be free of yet another responsibility.”

YOURE NOT A RESPONSIBILITY STOP MAKING ME CRY GD FKIN DAMMIT 😭😭😭😭😭✊✊✊

Ali, going down in history as the most fleshed out beautiful soul of an mmc ever written. anytime I read his pov, maula mera maula automatically starts playing. I truly don’t think he can be beat. Bc wdym he’s loved Nahri for years, this is the first time he’s ever had the chance or gall to be with her, and yet he’s refusing to do so since he knows he’s on his deathbed and it would only devastate her more??

“What is that? What has been done to me?”

Bro I actually feel sick. Again you’ve been enslaved, Dara. Only character to ever elicit this miasma of guilt and revulsion and sorrow in me

running list of things that need to be wrapped up in the next 41% of the book somehow:

- central conflict (are we taking daevabad back or not???)
- geziri vs. daeva/nahids
- marid vs. djinn
- everyone vs. shafit
- nahri's family??
- dara finally freeing himself from his self-enforced handcuffs
- ali and nahri (the girl has just become SLIGHTLY aware of her own feelings bruh oml this is a glacial burn even for me)

Jamshid’s high horse is pmo so much like bro just conveniently forgot he tried to KILL Ali and is accusing him of all types of shit and getting apologies from him. The person he literally attempted to poison. have some shame????

“I would rather make a mistake than have my choices stripped away.”

Nahri, the woman you are

“Why don’t you tell me how you and Sheikh Fire-Sword ended up here and I’ll decide how I feel about allies”

Sheikh fire sword PLSSS 😭😭😭😭

yes I have a lot of sympathy for Dara and thinking too long or deep about bro makes me feel extremely sad but he’s also the definition of the spongebob handcuffs meme. like just go!!!!! Just! Leave!!!
