I always viewed it as New Yorkers are KIND not nice, on the other side I have met a lot of southerners who are NICE and not kind. Them southern honeyed words don't mean nothing when the actions do NOT match😅I personally would choose a kind person who's rude over a nice person who's just being nice for appearances. To me it's the line between actions and words.

I too have viewed a lot smooth talked people with sweet words and not so sweet actions, whether they may be from up north or south. As a NY myself, I can definitely agree that we are not very nice but lately have become quite rude and intolerant of many things. It's the stress thats getting to us.
