I'm afraid to read this. If it's worth it, I'll push past that, but it's a topic I've been reluctant to commit to reading about.

That sounds very dark and as you say, harrowing :( I tell myself that it's an important thing to reflect on, current events being what they are, but I am afraid to read such accounts of brutality, too.

I stopped reading Holocaust books about a decade ago because I knew plenty and couldn’t sleep during days I sought to learn more. I hope your experience here is one you can isolate in a corner of your brain.
