A couple more chapters:
- our main character doesn't like mothers or children (quelle surprise 🙄)
- continues to be judgmental and bitter
- constant soap-boxy feminist statements are grating
- basically the epitome of "the worst person you know calls themselves a feminist"
- this book is either genius or genuinely poorly written 🤔

First chapter:
- entire premise of the service the main character runs is shaky
- infantilisation of women ("too young to be out this late", describing them as "girls" with "spindly legs")
- Neighbour Sean is made entirely of cheap stereotypes
- latent fatphobia (unpleasant men are "chubby" and "fat" and "bulbous")
- this main character is judgemental and unpleasant and I hope it's intentional
