Ch 14 starts with Jack confronting Amanda about the baby. But it feels like Amanda was hiding something that has caused Jack a lot (fortune, harm). It doesn’t sound like Jack was shocked by the fact that he impregnate someone. Which is something that he didn’t want, I assume. Suddenly when knowing Amanda pregnant, Jack wanted to be a husband. WHAT THE FUCK

I keep expecting something big to happen in this book. Something that will alter the course of their lives forever. But no, this is a cozy comfort love story and I love it. I love how gentle Jack with Amanda because he knew Amanda have some confidence issue.

The pacing for the last few chapters feels a bit dragged out by how both of the MCs doesn’t want to tell each other about how they really feel. It’s like misunderstanding here and there.

Thank the lord that the problem was that Amanda is pregnant and not because they were caught doing something. Then at least Jack wasn’t forced to marry Amanda.
I would like it if Amanda and Charles marry but i don’t think it will happen. Or would it? Maybe HEA for each Amanda and Jack but not them together.. hmm

Halfway through but I don’t see a conflict brewing. I don’t want it to be like ‘Big Rock’ where the conflict was introduced and solved within 2 chapters. I want the conflict to grow alongside the characters. But i think it will be like big rock…
