Old Garbo was a pretty great story about going out drinking. There's a great quoted about beer. "I liked the taste of beer, its live, white lather, its brass-bright depths, the sudden world through the wet-brown walls of the glass, the tilted rush to the lips and the slow swallowing down to the lapping belly, the salt on the tongue, the foam at the corners."

Really enjoyed the story 'The Fight'

'The Peaches' (first story in this collection) about the visit of a friend to an impoverished Welsh farm is pretty entertaining. 'A Visit to Grandpa's' (story #2) is much a much briefer take on one subject, an elderly man seemingly ready for his death.
