Rita being jealous of Lasher and not even knowing why is taking me outtttt ITS BECAUSE YOU WANT DEIRDRE MY FRIEND NOT THE MAN

okay so Rita was gay for Deirdre when they were kids. got it!

dude no way this “Doctor” wanted to take an aborted fetus and instead of “discarding” it as per policy…he wanted to cut it up and use the tissue for research…his words were “it’s technically not even alive. it’s dead, quite dead, because its mother aborted it”. thank god Rowan didn’t go along with this weirdo plan to take tissue from an unsuspecting baby

how i know this book was written so long ago is because it talks about how “abortion laws are never really enforceable” while i am currently living in a world where women are dying because they’re denied healthcare.

his viewpoint of san francisco changed as he grew older. the city that was once filled with hope and dreams in his childhood is now nothing more than a town whose people do not change. just like New Orleans

damn. Michael’s ENTIRE family basically died from being a drunk, with the exception of a couple people. how do you bust your head open from a fall and just…go to sleep? 😭

“orientals, jews, and colored people”…yeah i’m reminded again how old this book is and i don’t like it.
