I liked the 1st story, The Road to Damascus, which really has nothing to do with Damascus but a Russian spy working out of England and an old WWII hiding place in the countryside. (3.5 stars)

Read quite a bit of this during a power outage. Excellent stories and one featured another of Gilbert's characters, Peter Petrella, a London CID cop... Neat
