Austin Lash’s Reviews > The Great Bridge: The Epic Story of the Building of the Brooklyn Bridge > Status Update

One of the greatest books I've ever read, and I'm not even halfway through. McCullough's masterpiece.

I now know what a caisson is, and how it works. Such a fascinating book.

I never would have thought that a 600 page book about the building of a bridge would be so captivating, but I'm thoroughly engrossed. McCullough's writing and storytelling capabilities are as good as ever.
