McLaren Elli’s Reviews > Luckiest Girl Alive > Status Update

This Novel is about Ani who seems to have the perfect life but is is clear something from her past is holding her back. There is a theme of her hiding her insecurities behind expensive things. It is clear when Ani describes going out with her friends: "There were so...of my bag" (41). This quote demonstrates how Ani finds validation through material things. This has been strong and reoccurring throughout the book.
