This section elaborates on the desires that both Nick and Finlay have for each other that can’t be fulfilled then & there & this section of the book dives into adult dynamics & conversations. Finlay is losing ground on her excuses. Finlay knows Charlie is not good. The pacing takes a break. I love the way I can imagine the story. I also feel immersed. Finlay must put up an act.

Wow. That was a nail bitting scene. The books here always have a crazy action sequence like the stairwell scene! Damn. I could visualize the door and Nick panting. Pacing. It doesn’t let up. Cam has a great commentary as well and did his job way too well. Nick & Garrett jumped to the gun bc I didn’t realize Finlay & Vero made it out unscathed & unseen. This moment was both exhilarating & head scratching!

The dialogue, action, the gambling, the way Vero shows that Finlay has an effortless resourcefulness that is so hidden & perfect for poker. Vero is great at explaining & providing her skills to enhance their progress. The pacing is super well done, emotion, scene setting and much more.

Wow. That’s a crazy segment. This story is really leaning into the Las Vegas scene without having to by being Atlantic City. The way that the plot twists are twisting. The comedy, the comedic horror or realization. Truly Pokey (Frank) was really helpful & his defensive skills to help against Charlie was so great bc I was worried about it like Finn was. The payoff of getting away from trouble was fascinating.

The way that Finlay signed Trina’s book to Ike is so lol. I find the audiobook narrator really accentuate the nuance & especially with the jokes like being squashed. The whole phone call scene with Sylvia is fascinating. The book title shines here especially as Finlay’s luck, her way of working through this maze of a book is by luck & she is at the whim of a myriad of reasons. The plot twists are interesting.

The humor is spectacular here. The tension & the revelations are crazy. The way that Finlay is dragged along with everyone else creates a fair amount of stress, however, perhaps it’ll help her alibi. The inner dialogue of Finlay is remarkable. Nick expresses love, admiration for Finn. Sylvia is hilarious. I love how any author would rejoice at the amount of circulation this story is generating. It’s ironic. lol.

Poor Cam, Finlay understands he is in a rough place. She’s kind,Finlay knows too much. Finlay gets her rest. The plot gets a new component which is a very much of series.I feel like Cam can get more info on the car. This part of the book got me hooked. I’m like reacting to this book big time.Like how Cam rightfully got scared. The way that Cam mentions all of this is cloaks and dagger stuff. This book is testing Fin.

Pacing is fascinating. I find Finlay’s motherly nature to protecting & seeking to resolve the new issue of Cam coming to town searching for the thumb drive with info on Feliks Zhirov’s crypto currency. The way that people assert their own spin to the story creates a hectic mess. The story has heightened the stakes. Finlay must asses the multitude of factors at play. She tells Vero to settle & be peaceful to Cam.
