With another 150 pages to go though I may have other thoughts. Just reaching the folk music of the final chapters so that may bring it together.
On anther book I got True Love and How to Get It by Gerard Lee for a measly dollar the other day.

No. Died Pretty as well. Would have been a fine show.

I have a couple of Pentangle records. I was curious as to when Pentangle were around and wiki says from 68. If so it seems to me to be a slight error on the authors part to make out that the ABC (called ABS in this book) was not open to a modern folk band in Australia considering The Seekers were around from the early 60's. I do except that it only a novel lol.

In 1972 or 1973, Lindisfarne and Caravan supported (Slade and?) Status Quo at Lang Park. Stranger things have happened!

I have no recall of "Room to Move" but thanks for the heads up. I see it began in 1971 so Pentangle would, one would have thought, been on the shows radar. Lindisfarne! What a call Ian. As a lad I heard Meet Me on The Corner and was so entranced I had to get the album. Fog on The Tyne turned me into a Dylan fan. How an electric folk rock band from the north of England does that is a thing of beauty.
I now suspect the author did not give a hoot about his history being wrong. Several pages later he has the Rymers on the ABS(C) 18 months after the Beatles toured and talked about the arrangements of their songs "owing something to Pentangle." It would have been good to have a chat to C J Koch about his thoughts as to this book. I look forward to your reread.
