Let's just take a break here for just a second. This kid is, what, 8? And her parents just casually come into her room when they think she's asleep and confide in her about their wrongdoings and insecurities and whatnot? Have they ever heard of JOURNALING? THERAPY? Your CHILD should not be the sounding board for you to confess your sins to and discuss your problems, even if you think they're asleep!
