One of the more subtle I things I noticed about “Franny” is that she’s first introduced in her letter to Lane, in which she says “incidentally” wrong at least 3 times. You’re lead to believe that she’s not that smart, but then Lane starts using “incidentally” incorrectly in the exact same way throughout the rest of the story. She was just trying to impress her pseudo-intellectual BF. Funny and sad
