I love how my prefrontal cortex is working hard, connecting my knowledge of the occult, spirituality, and Jungian psychoanalysis, trying to make sense of the shadows.
By page 29, I think it isn't an allegory for shadow integration, but rather shadow identification (when unconscious aspects of ourselves taking over our identity and behavior).
