A bit disappointing at the moment... To often the author resort to calling something terrible Indescribable etc. or throws in needlessly complicated words that break the flow of the narrative.
Also some of the pseudoscience he uses to justify his horrors are just irritating and had to be outdated even in his time. I would ave preferred it if he had just left these explanations out
