LaLa staring into the mirror of infinite endings. Only to find herself be tempted by another mirror.

The mirror of second chances… the cost? Everything.

LaLa touched her fingers to the glas and . . .

Evangeline was reminded of another night and another version of Jacks, when he had sat atop a throne made of ice and glared at a little ghost fox while she’s stood before him in a wedding dress.

“Just how long have you been thinking about this, Jacks
“Long enough. I’ll let you decide how you want to do it and when, but we’re getting married, Little Fox.”

LONG ENOUGH 🥹🥹🥹🥹

“I want to marry you, Evangeline. I know you had a wedding before, and it was horrible, and I feel selfish for making you do it again. But I think you already know that I can be very selfish. I want everyone to know that you’re mine and I’m yours. There will be no more mirror Jacks in your future.”
“So mirror Jacks is why you suddenly want to marry me?”
“There was nothing sudden about this.”

The coin wouldn’t work now that it was in another world, but it did make Evangeline think that the mirror Jacks would soon reunite with the mirror version of her. Or at least, she truly hoped he would.
Evangeline loved the idea of infinite endings, but she wanted all of her endings to involve Jacks.

Jacks wrote to Knightlinger, the Whisper Gazette.
“Did you do this?”
“Where did you get that?”
“From the people who came all the way from Valenda, because of you.”
“No. They’re here because of you.”
“Why do I feel as if we’re going to keep having this argument?”
“Because I like arguing with you almost as much as I like being your hero.”
“You really are my hero.”

Jacks changed Honey Pie to Evangeline’s Famous Hollow Pie on the clock.
“I take it you approve
“I love it so much, and I love you. But wait… the initials don’t match the words on the clock.”
“They aren’t supposed to.”
“Then what do they stand for
“For you. E.O.T.H. Evangeline of the Hollow.”


There are no tears in my eyes… they’re just wattery…

“I’ve been worried about the same thing, but I was too scared to mention it.”
“Why?”
“Probably for the same reasons you were.”
“You didn’t have to be scared. Just as there’s no world than can keep you from me, there is no world where I would ever lose you to something like age or time. You are mine, Little Fox, until my heart stops beating.”

“I made a deal with a fairy to stop you from aging. I know, I should have known better, and I should have told you before I wrote to Poison. I did all of this without asking you, and because of it, I almost lost you. I am so sorry, Little Fox
“If I learned one thing from the mirror, it’s that no matter what, we will always find a way back to each other. There’s no world that will keep you from me.”

They passed the tests. And they just get 2 cookies in the shape of a broken heart.

EHM HELLO? Maybe a lifetime together without Evangeline growing old???

“Oh, Jacks. I’m so sorry I went through the mirror.”
“It’s all right, Little Fox. I’ve got you now. I’m not letting you go.”
