Just one thought… why is every one of the characters a surly bastard. I know they’re complex and really interesting, but could it hurt the author to make characters that actually show some kindness and joy alongside their generalised eliteness. You can struggle, go through tricky situations, LOSE A MEMBER OF THE GROUP and still be interesting and kind. Uh.
