This is so boring, and I'm annoyed that this is the second space horror book that has felt this way. Ophelia is her own worst narrator and spends the majority of the time telling the reader how they should feel about her. And this "romance"...? Why are we doing that, and with Ethan over Birch? (Natural enemies to lovers??Hello!?) I'm dragging my feet with the hope that the horror will make up for the characters

That sucks, especially when it's HORROR in SPACE. What an awesome combo!! Characters are also essential to any story, so the fact that they are not well-written is a tragedy :(
