Each of the tales is slightly different but with echoes of previous remembrances. Very interesting.

I see some other comments about this being dry, but I find these stories fascinating. Her tone is matter-of-fact and no-nonsense, but she still takes time for moments of tenderness and beauty and I think it's a perfect balance.
