I picked up this book and thought, “wow this is short; should be a quick read”. I’m on page 3 and it feels like I’m trying to read another language or decipher one of my Dad’s texts. It reminds me of that one Elton John song “Solar Prestige a Gammon”

Ok, after about 40 pages you get used to the lingo, though I still don’t understand every word. I originally didn’t think I’d be able to get over the verbiage, but now the story has gotten more interesting and the “slang” feels less cumbersome.
