This book actually might be the book of the year. The characters felt relatable, the humor was well-timed and the romance had good pacing. This book kept my attention the whole way through and I was constantly itching to read it. I also like the fact that it touched on topics of academic pressure, morality, class expectations, and the importance and power of not only being seen by others, but by yourself as well.

Books with really smart characters tend to make me feel kind of crappy about myself because I’m not as good as them. This one does a really good job at showcasing the fact that even if someone is seemingly perfect in a certain thing, other aspects of their life may not be perfect. It helps me put into perspective the fact that I can’t be perfect at everything and I shouldn’t try to be.

And this is YA?!
