SPOILER!! I have a feeling Khawf made Salama imagine Layla so that she fights for her survival to Germany cause he knew she would never do it for herself. He will disappear too eventually which would be good for her mental health but sometimes I thought his thoughts were logical and rational. SPOILER!!!! Getting married in the hospital was so cute but this book is so sad and why couldn’t there just be a happy ending!! I can’t believe Layla is apart of Salama’s hallucination and she’s been dead for five months!! This is too upsetting. I wanted them to be together and be a little family in Germany.

She finally poured her heart out to him. I understand where she’s coming from but I still feel like he should post the videos on YouTube so globally people can see what’s happening. But she loves him so I think it’s best for there situation. I love the way he purposed to her too. The idea of them starting everything in Syria and them being in her old house is a great storytelling idea 🤍
