I was really annoyed by the stupidity and naivety of the main character. Don’t write in first person if you’re going to make her gullible, naive and completely incapable of thinking logically.
The best part of the book was the last few chapters of the Generals story. The rest just annoyed me.
I think Dracula is far better as a vampire story.

Laura was incredibly annoying as the narrator. I did not have fun reading from her prospective…
This was further emphasized by the fact that I couldn’t put the book down once I reached the pages containing the General’s story! Loved that! But Laura was just so stupid and naive…
