I’m given no reason to care about any of these characters. Everyone feels like a blank slate.
I understand that there is horror in the unknown, but why is everything so vague? The enemies are vague black blobs with wings.
This book so far is a painful ripoff of Lord of the Rings. I don’t understand how someone who has read or watched LOTR could enjoy this. It’s just a worse version of the same exact plot.
