What an absolute breathtaking start, besides the theme of despair, desolation and destruction; an aching tenderness and a desperate hope for a day better is felt through the pages by the course of our narrator and his journey to survive with his little son in a world that has long forgotten to nourish and nurture. Amazing execution of a post apocalyptic world with devastating descriptions and effective intensity.
