Jess’s Reviews > Troy > Status Update

Some of what’s been recently explained was also just told in the last third of Aphrodite in Pieces that I just read. We went over how Helen was taken, how the Greek leaders were called to action, & overview of the significant figures on both the Greek & Trojan sides (+ their ally gods).

Excited for another Stephen Fry! I’m familiar with the Iliad & Trojan War, but as Fry mentions, there’s a LOT to keep track of. Consequently, I enjoy revisiting it! While most of it I remember, it’s still enjoyable to hear about it again, & there’s always details I forget too. Moreover, since the original material is ancient, there’s many versions, translation, & interpretations to explore.
