Seems our FMC is learning that everything (even the death of someone we love) all happens to lead us to our calling. If those we love didn’t die, move away, divorce, marry, have children there would be nothing to turn us in a different direction.
Everything that happens good or bad, life or death, and happy or sad happen to lead us to the purpose we are in this life.

3. And more and more I don’t like than for her. He just seems so condescending and wrong on every level. And if that’s the real world for her, I hope she dumps him and Mary’s the guy that she’s doing the sign language stuff with. He’s amazing. If she truly lost her husband.

By the time I reached chapter 14 I have a couple of thoughts.
1. I feel like the thing that the husband wanted to tell the wife was that he had a one night stand with his ex and she’s pregnant before the accident. And then, instead of telling her faked his own death.
