“You would choose her over your own kingdom? Over your own family?” Rawain sounded stunned.
“Yes,” Arin said. “I choose her.”
yup. that’s it. arin, the man that you are.

“why should i bother tracking you when i need only to wait? the moment you leave the mountains, you’re mine”
GAGGED. not only gagged by everything leading up to that between arin and sylvia but the fact he ALREADY KNOWS where she is??? insane. so much is going on right now and we are uncovering a lot of lore that is extremelyyyy interesting. the book just keeps getting better and better ✨

sara hashem is a genius. she is brilliant. i have no words. her having the mufsid SHOW arin instead of TELLING arin about the fortress of jasad??? the scenes we were shown?? i am going insane truly. arin and essiya are at each others throats once again and i lowkey love it?? will def make the yearning 17362827 more fun in the near future. i literally can’t put this book down it just keeps getting better and better

“The scream I swallowed tore my throat raw.
Turn around, turn around!
Arin went still. Very slowly, his head turned, neck tight with tension. Blue eyes looked directly at me.”
