Jason McIntire added a status update
Volunteer readers needed for a few short articles. My brother Zach and I are contemplating starting a biblical questions-and-answers column in a local newspaper. We've written three sample articles, which are in a modern, conversational style, and we'd like feedback. Interested parties please post here or message!

Kierkegaard's Pancakes sure, I'll give it a shot

Jason McIntire Anybody else? Maybe some likers of this update would "like" to participate? :-)

message 3: by Els (new)

Els *glares* of course I would, Jason, but I'll be backpacking in CA for the next month, and then there's the US Open, sooo...

message 4: by Jason (new)

Jason McIntire No offense intended! *smiles innocently*

I may not have mentioned this, but we're talking about 3 columns of approximately 500 words each. :-)

(Happy backpacking, Seneca....)

message 5: by Janell (new)

Janell R. I'd be willing to give them a look-see. Is there a certain time frame I need to work them into? I do have a fairly full reading list, but if your somewhat flexible, I think I could work them in say within a 1 month time frame.

message 6: by Jesseca (new)

Jesseca Wheaton I'd be willing to read them and give you feedback by the end of this week/beginning of next. What sort of feedback are you looking for?

message 7: by Jason (new)

Jason McIntire I probably should have mentioned the time frame as well... we're pitching these in a meeting with the publisher on Thursday. :-)

One of our greatest virtues is getting things done way ahead of time, like minutes or even hours occasionally....

message 8: by Jason (new)

Jason McIntire On feedback, we're looking for first impressions (which is all we'll get from newspaper readers). Would you stop to read an article like this? Would you finish it? What impression would it leave you with? Is it clear and interesting? Stuff like that.

message 9: by Janell (new)

Janell R. Haha, okay, if we're talking about 1500 words total I should be able to give feedback by Wednesday evening. Go ahead and send them my way (I think you have my email, right?)

Ohhh, okay. xD Well, depending on the kind of feedback you need, I should be able to do it by Wednesday night...is that too close? I'm just not sure how much time I'll have to read them today and tomorrow.

Okay, that I can do. :) Do you have my email or should I send it to you?

message 12: by Lisa (new)

Lisa I think I can! I can always make time, and there's -what?- two/three more days?

message 13: by Jason (new)

Jason McIntire @Jesseca - I have your email from when we did our interview, and I've sent you the articles.

@Lisa - I've sent you a GR friend request so we can connect.

Thanks!

message 14: by Janell (new)

Janell R. *raises hand* Please, don't leave me out. ☺️

message 15: by Jason (new)

Jason McIntire Oops, my eyes totally skipped your message. Sorry, Janell! I do have your email and will send a message your way. Thanks!

message 16: by Janell (new)

Janell R. Not a problem, looking forward to it. 😊

message 17: by Hanna (new)

Hanna I'd be interested in reading the articles!
