I can't believe I didn't finish this yesterday. More incredible... I'm reading along and here is another book that pops in a "rang off" when the character ends his phone call. Doesn't publishing software have spellcheck and find-and-replace or better yet, people who read and edit after initial software checks before printing?

Oh! The disturbing spellcheck software mistakes of books today! This one might be the biggest blunder (although humorous) I can recall reading in recent years: "He slammed a FISH into ___'s face". LOL

Whodunit? You must read the entire series in order. Yes, I would like to read the next book even though I don't enjoy contemporary as much as historical. As a contemporary, this gets a weak 4 stars.

This is pretty good. I might try another one. Has been slow reading with being gone & playing catch up. I hope to read this author's next book in 4-5 days. This would give me a better feel. This is definitely light reading though. Not too intense or descriptive.

Good thing this is "light" reading...the kind that is good for a busy summer. Too tired to read at night and too busy in the morning. LOL

Trying this contemporary rancher romance on for size. Not overly entertained or impressed so far. I find the main character's accomplishments in the time since he left home with empty pockets rather unbelievable. But then, I come from a farm family and realize the capital investment, credit worthiness required and everyday, every season risk to maintain a grain- or animal-based operation, let alone start one.
