Don Favorite bit...
He was terrified by this girl and her glasses. Maybe she was dead or hurt. Maybe she was possessed with special powers that most rich people fear poor people have. Maybe she would use those powers to shrivel his brain or worse, worse than that.

Don Best ending I've read in awhile...
The Sultan thought on this question. What could I need? A glass of juice? A corn-and-milk-raised nineteen-year-old from Sacramento, Sausilito, San Diego? Another western oil shortage? The Sultan knew the answer. The Sultain said nothing.
