I am not keen on the quality of writing. It is very "telling" instead of "showing." For example, pg. 55 - "The paramedics were wonderful." - this was followed by a list of what they did. Pg. 79 - "By the time we got to the airport I felt sick with stress." - Better quality writing would describe that feeling rather than say it. I am also not sure about the reveal of the sinister aspect of the marriage immediately.
