I'm not entirely satisfied with the Fairy Tales in this book. Some are interesting, some are variations of ones I already know (Rapunzel as The Beautiful Angiola), but most of them follow the same principle: Pretty girl/princess/prince is turned into an animal and someone helps the lift their curse and they're married happily after without actually knowing each other... The witches are nice though. ;)

As I didn't dare to take the next Märchenspinnerei book with me & as it's fitting after the Hänsel&Gretel adaptation & the festival, I started reading this one on the campground in the Harz, that's also why my bookmark is a slice of folded duct tape. ;)
Anyway, so far there were a few interesting takes on bad witches, but not all of them are really bad people. Though I thought it'd be all about the good witches.
