I'm about 38% through this book on Kindle and the same figure could be used for my interest level. How people are saying this is lucid is beyond me. I feel like I'm inside the head of a privileged WASP drenched in dysthymia. For those who claim that her prose is dreamlike, I beg to differ. Stoned, and a little drunk perhaps? Certainly not dreamlike. Reading this is almost painful - and not in the life-changing, soul-tugging way. It's painful in a dehydration muscle spasm sort of way.
