The other stories, "Clay Dog" by Kat Richardson and "Noah's Orphans". Sniegoski were good/enjoyable, but nothing to compel me to check out more of their stuff. But Sniegoskis still might be worth a peek..

2/2... Then we get a damsel in distress, & another info dump (this time the setting, a little late for that too). DNF. It seems like another film-noir, gritty PI MC, which only succeed when i find their first person self-deprecating narration funny. And it fell flat here.

"THE DIFFERENCE A DAY MAKES" by Simon Green: starts w MCs anecdote about tracking a missing imaginary friend & uncovering his affair w his clients wife.. the humor failed me. Muddled along talking about Dead Boy, whose background was surely a foreshadowing technique, but had the effect of plodding along the intro, & I couldn't get into the story (i like my short stories to start in the middle of the action)... 1/2
