She makes very good points about how bisexual people are perceived at times. At other times, she speaks as though her sexuality encompasses her whole being... but then she turns around and states that she doesn't want to be known for just her sexuality, but her whole self.

The letter to Carol's mother has already caused me to formulate obtuse questions and opinions about her already and I'm only on page 9, but I will say this quote has me thinking that she thinks very highly of herself and her ability to be more outspoken about sex than her mom was.
