The author credits partners, like Munger, for this change in approach and uses Buffet's purchasing of $3 mil. worth of AmEx shares as a prime ex. I wonder if Buffet would have come to this conclusion anyway as companies become more service based, with less assets. "Better off dead" does not strictly apply anymore.
