No movement here yet (still digesting what I've read) -- but I will say that while I can see the pulp angle, this story is much deeper in terms of unlocking the dark secrets within the mind. Pulp wouldn't be my first genre choice with this one.

The book is only 137, not 200 pages, and I just finished. Another big twisty but not really (again, this only makes sense if you read the novel).

Well this story took a turn I didn't see coming, although I sort of did, but wasn't sure. If that's confusing to anyone, well, you should try reading this book! A true puzzle of a novel.

Yow. Very slow going today (it's just that kind of book) but it's been great. Insanity v. reason, the struggle for control between reason and insanity... and the question of whether reason is actually a kind of "disciplined insanity..."

Oh -- and the pulpy story is fun, too.

At the end of part I, ready to head into "The Spring-Fresh Methuselah."

Not an easy read by any stretch, dark and claustrophobic. In short -- booyah!
