The definitive spy novel, bristling with cold war tension and set on both sides of the iron curtain. We follow Alec Leamas on his journey from the cold. Perhaps dated now as the political makeup of Europe has transformed since this book was first published in 1963. However it is a good read, a thriller with enough twists and turns to keep readers guessing as to how it will all turn out.
