Just finished "Annabelle, Annie" by Lisa Goldstein, and was appalled by its lack of historicity. Does this author truly believe that the kind of environmental damage described in the story occurs in ONE generation? No, it doesn't. It began prior to the start of the Industrial Revolution, at the very latest. Also, the narrator was one of the most spineless I've ever seen. Good writing can't overcome those major flaws.
