I was wondering the other day if you had read these yet. What did you think of Saving Francesca?

I really enjoyed it, I found it to be such an accurate statement of both a teenager and a family dealing with a "shaming" situation. Made my heart hurt quite often, but it was funny and true and absolutely fantastic. I just started "The Piper's Son" but it has already hurt me more, it may take me more time because his pain is so very raw.

That's what I love about Melina. She's so real about very difficult situations, but manages to do so in a way (to me at least) that isn't depressing. There's still a lot to love about these characters and their families and their friends. I love Tom's story, but Georgie might be my favorite part of The Piper's Son.
