I read this in sixth grade and LOVED it. I'm really interested to see what you think.

I'm having an experience that's hard to explain reading it as a writer, because a lot of what Auel is doing with her plotting is very easy to track; I hate to use the word "predictable" but it's very clear when something is being done to build tension that will be released later. But at the same time, the plot is really good and the main characters are lovable and sympathetic. It's a really obvious book that I can't help but reverse engineer while I read it, but it's also good and enjoyable.
