This is such an important book - a text book - that tells us where we really are as a culture and as a species, right here and now... yet, when I mention it to even the brightest people I know, I am met with immediate skepticism. Atheist and theist alike seem to need the world and humanity to be fundamentally flawed in order to remain engaged in life...strange.
