I actually stopped reading it for a while, not because it wasn't interesting, but because I got tangled up in life. I am picking it up again, and as far as I got: it is an interesting overview of how Buddhism got adapted to the Japanese cultural landscape and of the contending schools that developed (plus conflicts that ensued).

Insights... every day is an insight, every utterance is so too ;)
