I jumped into this expecting a standalone novella. The opening read like a sequel, it wasn't difficult to understand, but definitely a bit jolting. Good writing thus far though.

The world's interesting, a bit more romance than I'm in the mood for & definitely reads as a sequel. I'm not lost, but would have been nice to get more build up.
