Really getting sick of Dominic, mostly because the author seems compelled to amplify how ~menacing~ and ~sexual~ and ~sexually menacing~ she is every time she shows up.
Additionally, now that the curtain has been pulled back on the world leaders' weird orgies, every conversation between two powers involves a third getting finger-blasted.

A character saying "Cripes what an asinine melodrama!" during the asinine melodrama doesn't elevate the scene, it just confirms that I the reader am correct to be rolling my eyes. If ridiculous soap opera is the alternative to rampant finger-blasting then what exactly am I supposed to hope for in terms of a satisfying resolution to two books' worth of plot
