Ok, I'm gonna stop reading, this style is just really not my thing at all. This was my first try at Ian McEwan and it's just way too pretentious and I know a lot of people praise the "beautiful prose" but it's just too much. Also I just can't warm up to the POV, which can be interesting, but yeah not for me.
